Eastern Ontario Regional Network project is $ 170 million initiative is supported through a large investment from the federal Government, provincial, and local, together with the private sector contribution. Government of Canada and Ontario are each made up to one third of the total cost of the project, the maximum donation of $ 55 million each are eligible. EOWC Inc. and the private sector to provide the remaining funding, by EOWC Inc. to contribute up to $ 10 million. Xplornet Communications Inc. has donated $ 750,000 toward the construction of the network in zone of Embrun. Bell and Bell Aliant have contributed $ 23 million of fiber backhaul network.
Funds from the Government of Canada is also provided through the Canada Building Fund-major infrastructure component, which target projects that larger, strategic national and regional importance.
